Improvement of one characteristic does not confirm the solution of the other.

What two digital slots give

In the official brochure, the DR3000 Motorola describes two simultaneous speech or information paths in digital TDMA mode. For a conventional digital configuration, this allows you to discuss using two time slots. Let’s take an example: one is for transportation, the other is for repair. With the agreed configuration, both conversations can go in parallel.

Two slots don’t turn into an unlimited number of simultaneous conversations from adding group names. The group determines the participants of the exchange, and the resource for the transfer remains limited. If another independent conversation is required on one slot, its passage depends on the employment and the provided access procedure. You can’t promise each new group its own permanent capacity just by name on the menu.

There may be dozens of subscribers in the enterprise who speak short and rarely. Another small group is taking up the channel for long discussions. Therefore, when buying a DR3000, it is useful to describe the nature of the conversations: which units are working simultaneously, who needs to respond quickly, and what conversations can be transferred to another agreed order of communication.

For example, when loading, transport is constantly exchanging commands. If the repair service shares the same resource with it, it has to account for that employment. Distribution of working conversations according to the prepared scheme helps to organize the exchange. But if several units are already talking at the same time in excess of the available capacity, one permutation of group names cannot solve the problem.

Separation of groups does not mean secrecy

We need clear rules: who participates in the transport group, who is in the repair room, and who should hear both according to their authority. It is a matter of configuration of subscriber stations and system. The presence of a group is not a promise of encryption or security; such requirements are considered separately.

If the controller needs to work with several directions, specify this as a separate scenario. It cannot be inferred from the two supported paths that any workplace automatically accepts both conversations simultaneously. Actual subscriber models, dispatcher equipment and selected exchange organization are checked.

When you need a different scale of the system

First, it’s helpful to find out what’s limiting work: employment, coverage, or the need to link different sites. Additional nodes and system solutions are selected for this reason. The presence of an Ethernet connector or the mention of Capacity Plus in the documentation of the family does not confirm a ready-made distributed system from any purchased block.

For negotiations and data, the overall load is also agreed.
