GM360: Six channels are missing
The top analogue model of the Professional Series. The main differences from the younger ones are 255 channels, a full alphanumeric display and selective calls SEL5 and DTMF. Everything else is the same: 25 W, the range 136-174 MHz, the same power supply and the same accessories.
What they pay for
For a name on the screen instead of a channel number. When the system has three dozen cars and several services, the operator does not keep in mind that “channel 4 is an emergency brigade”: he sees the signature. SEL5 allows you to call one particular station without lifting all the others – in the control room, this saves the nerves of the entire shift.
Who's got a surplus?
If the fleet has one group and two or three channels, the display and selective call will remain unclaimed. In this case, it's fairer to take GM340And the difference is spent on normal antennas — they will add more to the range than any function.
Control room on GM360
The station with an alphanumeric screen is convenient as a base: it is placed on the table, is powered by a 13.2 V block with a current reserve, a stationary antenna is displayed on the roof of the building. Separately consider lightning protection on the cable - on the roof antenna it is not reinsurance, but a mandatory detail.
If you need a number
In MOTOTRBO, the GM360 is similar in capabilities. DM4401: instead of SEL5, DMR addressing works, GPS and Bluetooth are added. For a large system with several sites, you will also need repeater DR3000.
Station pickup
Here everything is decided by the station model: connectors, mounts and landing dimensions in the series are different, and the detail from the neighboring series will not stand up.
